HIGH DEMAND AMONG THE YOUNG
Male gynecomastia correction is the second most common procedure in men and is the most pressing concern among young people, because it affects them in their social life and relationships, especially in the summer, preventing them from going to the beach. Some young people say that they have never been to the beach or removed their T-shirt, either on the beach and in the gym locker room.
What is gynecomastia among men?
Male gynecomastia is an increase in male breast tissue, and can affect one or both breasts. It is also sometimes accompanied by a growth of fat in the breast region. When it involves only of fat that has accumulated in this region, the procedure is called pseudogynecomastia. In any case, as is the case with female gynecomastia, this problem can be easily treated at the Instituto Pérez de la Romana with just one procedure.
NO HOSPITAL ADMISSION REQUIRED
The procedure is performed under local anesthetic, and the patient can return home after the procedure.
During the procedure, we used a liposuction technique throughout the mammary region and in most cases when the gland is not very important in terms of size and hardness, with an excellent result only achieved with liposuction.
In other cases, when the glandular component is larger, in addition to liposuction the gland below the areola will also have to be removed by means of a virtually invisible semicircular incision on the lower edge of the areola.
In older patients whose skin has been more distended, it is also necessary sometimes to remove a circle of skin. In this case, it would be done with a full circular incision around the areola. Although in many cases we prefer to do it on a second visit, the ability of the skin makes it blend perfectly and also achieves good results.
SAY GOODBYE TO HANG-UPS
After the procedure, the patient must wear a T-shirt or elastic waistcoat to help the skin retract properly. The results are always optimal and increase the self-esteem of the patient.
