Genioplasty (chin surgery) involves the correction of chin deformities through the insertion of a small prosthesis or using the body fat of the patient.
Often, a prominent nose is accompanied by a small and retracted chin. That is why on many occasions, to ensure greater harmony of the face, a rhinoplasty is performed at the same time as chin surgery. This combination is known as perfiloplasty.
At the Instituto Pérez de la Romana in Alicante, we often perform this procedure due to the excellent results obtained in patients.
We perform this procedure with local anaesthesia and sedation on an outpatient basis. The patient can come back home two hours after the procedure.
You will be able to come back to work one week after the intervention.

The patient can start light exercise a week after the procedure. However, it is recommended that they wait until one month has passed since the procedure before they return to the gym.
