It is a treatment mainly suitable for minimising differences in tone in the skin, improving its texture and removing blemishes, redness, wrinkles and small varicose veins or spider veins on the face, neck, neckline, hands and legs. This treatment is not aggressive and can be performed in a sequence of sessions.

The photorejuvenation treatment Ellipse helps maintain a young, tight and luminous appearance. It treats alterations to the face, neck, neckline and back of the hands caused by the Sun, eliminating blemishes, solar and senile lentigos, irritations on the face, etc.
The Ellipse system is the only system which emits short, safe flashes of dual filtered intense pulsed light (I²PL) (Dual filtration mode – patented), to ensure that only the appropriate light is absorbed by skin colour alterations, avoiding the risk of adverse effects.
Sunspots contain melanin and diffuse irritations contain hemoglobin. When cells that contain melanin or hemoglobin are exposed to Ellipse’s pulsed light, they become hot and are eliminated in milliseconds, making the epidermal alteration less visible or disappear.
Due to the fact that photorejuvenation is based on the absorption of light in spots or irritations, treatments are more effective in patients with clear skin and who have not tanned at the time of treatment.
Immediately after the procedure, some telangiectasias and redness may have disappeared. However, stains darken due to the oxidation of melanin and it may seem that the skin is dirty for a few days (this can be easily overcome with makeup). Once the pigment disappears, the skin has a more even tone and is more smooth, luminous and fresh. To preserve this rejuvenated skin ,it is recommended that the patient receive a “top up” once a year.
Tolerance to pain can vary greatly from one person to another. Most patients describe a hot sensation during treatment, similar to what one would feel after spending a day in the sun on the beach. No anesthetic is required.
A complete facial treatment requires less than 20 minutes. To get the desired result 1 to 3 sessions are recommended, depending on each case.
With Ellipse, capillaries and irritations can be easily, safely and permanently eliminated using flashes of double-filtered light. Irritations occur in different sizes, shapes and areas of the body that are diagnosed as porto wine spots, couperosis, hemangiomas, rosaceae, ruby points, etc.
The Ellipse system emits short, safe flashes of light onto the red area. These can be double-filtered intense pulsed light (I²PL) or a laser (ND: YAG), depending on the alteration to be treated. The light is absorbed in the hemoglobin and converted into heat, which destroys the vessel wall. As a result, irritations gradually disappear after the treatment.

It is the most effective treatment for patients with light phototype and with no tanning, since the greater the contrast between the redness and skin, the easier and safer the treatment.
Depending on the nature of the lesion, vessels disappear in one or a few sessions of treatment, with the lesion becoming a deeper shade of pink lesion or disappearing completely. In addition, the penetration of light stimulates the production of collagen, improving the texture of the skin by reducing the pore size and increasing the brightness and matching its hue.
Tolerance to pain can vary greatly from one person to another. Most patients describe momentary pain at the time of impact of an elastic glue on the skin, followed by a hot sensation. No anesthetic is required.
Several vessels can be treated in a single flash of light. The duration of the treatment depends on the area and the number of vessels to be treated. Normally, a session can last between 5 and 20 minutes.
The number of sessions depends on the type and size of the lesion.
Clinical studies have confirmed that 1 to 5 sessions are usually necessary, with one every month and a half.
