BOTOX

Today, Botox is the most widely-used rejuvenation treatment in the world.

It involves the injection of botulinum toxin in various parts of the face to relax certain muscles of  expression, rein in wrinkles and achieve a more natural and relaxed aspect in the face without surgery.

To do this, it is vital that the specialist be perfectly familiar with the facial anatomy, and the action of botulinum toxin in, each patient. This botox treatment is recommended for localized areas such as the forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet, the corner of the mouth and central bands of the neck.

It does not leave scars or produce any inflammation. The effects are noticed within 2-4 days and last between 5 and 6 months. The more regular a person has the treatment done, the longer its effect is.

PRE-TREATMENT MEASURES

How long do the effects of botox last?

This effect can last between 4 and 6 months, depending on the musculature of each patient. Depending on this duration, it is recommended that the patient receive the treatment twice a year.

What care should be taken after the infiltration of botox?

It is recommended that the treated area should not been massaged, that the patient does not engage into water sports or swimming, or use a sauna, until more than 24 hours have passed since the treatment. If a small purple stain appears, conceal it with make-up. It will disappear in a few days.
