Resurfacing is a treatment that aims to eliminate fine or moderate wrinkles and to significantly improve deep wrinkles, as well as other skin imperfections such as spots or acne scars.
This treatment consists of removing outer layers of skin using a latest-generation CO2 laser we have on our premises, allowing the doctor who uses it to go to different depths according to the needs of each patient. This treatment can also be combined with other types of laser, filler and/or Botox to complete the final result and achieve the greatest harmony possible in the rejuvenation of our patients.
In superficial treatments we recommend special creams to apply during a week that will help recovering the skin, as well as complete sun protection for 2-3 months. In the medium and deep treatments, it is also recommended to use special creams for 15 days, in some cases up to 3 weeks, in addition to the use of total sunscreen for a long period of time. After skin regeneration, approximately after a week, the use of cover make up is permitted.
Usually, it is very well tolerated with topical anesthetic. However, in cases where a decision is made to use a more aggressive treatment, local anesthetic (with or without sedation) may be required.
