CHEMICAL REMOVAL

Whether by fashion, or influence of friends, many times we end up getting a tattoo and later we regret about it.

The reasons why a person decides to eliminate a tattoo can be for work or personal reasons, or even when you want to get tattooed in the same area again, erasing the old tattoo.

Fortunately, there are now aesthetic medical techniques that allow tattoos to be removed without causing thermal damage to the surrounding tissues.

In the Instituto Pérez de la Romana we use the chemical removal method that can be performed in two ways, with glycolic acid or with an enzyme that generates the reaction of macrophagocytes.

The product is chosen depending on the area to be treated, the type of the skin, the age of the person and the antiquity of the tattoo.

Previouse micro pigmentation and tattoos can be removed.

Pigment removal is not done in a single session. There is a 4-6 week break between sessions. The number of sessions depends on the intensity of the pigment and extent of the tattoo you want to remove.

  • The duration of the treatment is one hour.
  • Topical anesthesia is used, that is by applying an anesthetic cream.
  • The removal technique can be done manually, with machine or mixed.

HOW TO CARE OF THE SKIN AFTER TATTOO REMOVAL?

The post treatment care:

Days 1 – 2

  • Clean the treated area with disinfectant towels Phi Whipes, half an hour and then every 2 hours alternating cures with sea water, keep the area clean and dry for 48 hours.

Days 3 -7

  • Apply the regenerative balsam Skin Candy After Care Balm 2 – 3 times a day, previously cleaning with PhiWipes.
  • Do not cover the area with the bangages during prolonged time (max 6 h). Avoid friction with clothing.

For the next 2 weeks avoid:

  • – Swimming pool, Sauna, Solarium, sport with excessive sweating, application of makeup and creams with active ingredients, massages and light treatments.
  • Don’t remove the crust.

FAQs on tattoo removal

Is the treatment painful?

No, it´s not. The tattoo removal treatment is performed with topical anesthesia, that is by applying an anesthetic cream.

How many sessions do I need to remove a large tattoo?

The number of sessions required for the removal of an extensive tattoo depends on different factors between which the quality and depth of the pigment, the area to be treated and the size of the tatoo. A minimum of five sessions are recommended for total elimination.

Does it leave scars or marks?

Chemical removal leaves no marks or scars.

In order for the result to be optimal it is necessary to follow strictly post-treatment recommendations.

What’s the price for tatoo elimination?

The price of tattoo removal is from 100 € per session.
